About
I run and scale technology-enabled businesses — as a chief executive, as a senior commercial and operating leader, and increasingly on an interim and fractional basis for companies that need that experience without a permanent hire. Over more than thirty years I have carried full executive responsibility across general management, commercial, product, operations and transformation — most of it international, much of it under real growth and ownership pressure.
That work rests on a long habit of seeing where industries were heading before it was obvious. In the mid-1990s I led development of an internet-connected consumer appliance that anticipated connected kitchens, online grocery and consumer IoT by decades — working and commercially evidenced, not a concept, and covered across international television, press and technology media. Spotting the shift early and commercializing it is a pattern that has repeated ever since.

The Story
For more than thirty years I have held executive responsibility across general management, product, commercial, operations and transformation — often several at once, and mostly international, across more than 30 countries and six continents. The work has concentrated in banking and financial services, fintech, retail technology and cash automation: environments where operational complexity is structural and the gap between commercial ambition and legacy infrastructure is the daily reality.
Early on I led consumer-industries and retail consulting across EMEA for two major technology and services firms, contributing to more than $1 billion in aggregate contract value with methods — cross-functional transformation, structured facilitation, visual consulting — that predated most of what later became standard practice. That led to a CEO role at an Agile transformation consultancy and a CCO role at a world-leading retail CRM firm. More recently I have brought store and banking automation to market — strategy, launch, commercialization and global rollout — generating over $1 billion in incremental revenue for client organizations, and scaled operationally complex businesses through SaaS and BPaaS transitions.
Today I am operating inside a live scale-up within a major U.S. banking ecosystem — active executive work, not retrospective advisory. The U.S. Government has recognized me with EB-1A Extraordinary Ability classification for contributions in business innovation and transformation leadership.
Cambrian North
Cambrian North is based in North Atlanta — a relevant operating base given the regional concentration of fintech, SaaS, payments, retail technology and PE-backed growth businesses. I work selectively with a small number of organizations at any given time: advisory relationships, transformation engagements, fractional executive roles and operating partner work.
The organizations I work with are typically navigating growth, modernization, commercialization evolution or operational complexity — environments where accumulated judgment tends to be more useful than frameworks.
A note on the name…
Cambrian North reflects both geography and perspective. “Cambrian” references my Welsh roots and the landscapes that shaped much of my early thinking, while “North” reflects both North Georgia — where I’m now based — and the idea of direction through growth and change.
The logo combines simplified silhouettes inspired by Wales’ Snowdonia and the North Georgia Mountains, representing both origin and current focus. The compass integrated into “North” symbolises clarity, navigation and forward movement.
Welsh by origin. American by choice. Operational by instinct.
